For Marshall Amps it's all about the sound, so we knew video was the way to go. We focused on our insight that artists come and go but the spirit of rock and roll lives on. Based on this insight, our final concept for this animated commercial uses fluid transitions between different eras and rock icons with one headbanger of a rock mashup. These elements simultaneously illustrate the mutability of the genre and the consistent "rock and roll" attitude. It was also important to use a dark, grungy background with hand-drawn white line work in the style of the Marshall logo to stay true to this timeless brand.
